Bad Santa

Last weekend we went to the best party that we've been to in a long time...the Horrible Holiday Sweater Party. It was so great to see everyone all dressed up in their holiday worst. Unfortuanatley, we forgot our camera, but did manage to snap this great shot of bad santa on Daren's camera phone. He said it was easy for him to dress up for the party, because all he had to do was dress up like his uncle Jack, complete with green pants and white leather shoes. And by the way, that's not his real belly, he's wearing this strapped on maternity belly, hysterical! We had the best time and want to thank Adam and Stephani for throwing such a fun, festive party.

Julian and Dave are headed down tonight from Seattle and then it's countdown to Christmas! Daren and I decided to buy ourselves a new video camera for Christmas. Hopefully, I can figure out a way to get some video clips on this blog, hmmmm, need to look into that. Obviously the camera will be quite useful when Lily comes along next year.

We had our last Chinese class on Tuesday night and we both passed our final tests! (Well, it was open book) At least Daren now knows how to say beer in Chinese, you know, all the important stuff like that.

Anyway, I'm not sure I'll have time to post much more before the new year, but we wish all of our friends and family a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Happy Holidays!

The holidays are upon us, and like everyone else, we are very busy. Last Saturday night was my company's Holiday party, and I've attached a picture of Daren and I all dressed up! I have to admit, Daren looks very "James Bond" in his suit and tie. He walked away from the party with the "best tie at the party" award, and being that he only wears a suit once a year, this was a pretty big deal! Lots of parties and dinners for us over the next few weeks...a gingerbread house decorating party for me at PK's house, a Horrible Holiday sweater party at a work friend's house, lots of good stuff. I'm not even stressed out this year, which is amazing!
Looking forward to our Christmas at home this year. We are having a small Christmas Eve get together at our house, and Julian (Daren's brother) and his friend are coming from Seattle to spend the holiday with us. I'll be preparing the traditional English dinner with roasted lamb, mint sauce, roasted potatoes, yorkshire puddings and of course, my famous English trifle with lots of sherry! Hungry? Come on by and pull up a chair, we'd love to have you!
