Merry Christmas!

It's our first Christmas with Lily and we are enjoying every minute of it. Lily is very interested in the Christmas tree and loves our morning ritual of turning on the lights. We've had to put a gate all around the tree this year to keep little fingers away from very intriguing ornaments and gifts with ribbons. We celebrated Lily's first birthday a couple of weeks ago in Sacramento. It was a great time for Lily to meet the rest of her family, including Grandpa Latham and Auntie Tara. She wasn't very interested in eating the cake, but had fun ripping the tissue paper to shreds from her presents. We're looking forward to spending Christmas at home this year and Uncle Julian will be coming down from Seattle to celebrate with us. Lily also started day care on Friday. It was an emotional day for Lily and Mommy, but hopefully she will adjust quickly. She's only going on a part time basis now until I go back to work on January 2nd.
