Is it summertime yet?

So it's still wet and cold here in the Northwest, but we decided we couldn't wait to try on one of Lily's cute summer dresses (thanks, Carrie!). If anything, it was a nice distraction from the winter weather. As you can see, Lily had fun with it too and couldn't wait to show off her new favorite skill, climbing.

14 Months Old Today

Lily is 14 months old today! We've officially been a family for five months and the time just seems to be flying by. I've been looking at pictures of Gotcha Day and it's amazing to see the transition that she's made from baby to toddler. Some of Lily's new words are "up", "out", "bye bye", and our favorite "no!". Her favorite books are The Foot Book by Dr. Suess, Goodnight Moon, and any of her pop-up books. Her favorite songs are Itsy Bitsy Spider, You Are My Sunshine and Pop Goes the Weasel (which Daddy taught to Lily, she always says the "pop" part).

I've been back to work for a month now and Lily has adjusted really well to her daycare (sometimes she doesn't want to leave when I pick her up in the afternoon!). It really feels like we are getting into our groove as a family and it's great. Today we are going to watch the Super Bowl with the Steinerts, go Bears!
