First trip to the pumpkin patch

My mom (Nana Latham) is visiting us right now, so we decided to bring Lily out to the pumpkin patch today. She has a little bit of a cold, so we didn't stay long, but the weather couldn't be more perfect! Besides having a cold, Lily is continuing to do really well. She took her first step today with her left foot, but gets a bit nervous when it comes to following up with her right foot. We are pretty sure she'll be walking around the house in no time! She's doing great with the sign language and now understands the sign for "no" without me having to actually say the word, although she laughs at me when I sign it (oh boy!). She also understands the sign for "kitty" and will look around the room until she sees a cat and then points. I'm still taking her to Gymboree music classes every week and she seems to love music, songs and instruments. Her favorite instrument so far is the drum. Every night we have story time and her favorite books are any books with animals. My mom has been loving her time here with Lily, but she goes home tomorrow. I have a feeling we'll be seeing a lot more of Nana Latham in the very near future! Attached are some pictures of Lily at the pumpkin patch and playing with Nana Latham.

It's Mommy's birthday

I had the best birthday of my life today. Lily is the best present ever and we just spent the day playing and having fun. Attached are some photos of Lily being fed her bottle this morning by Daddy, Lily with her new, hand-made afghan from Aunt Denise, and Lily getting ready for a stoller ride with her chubby cheeks. Enjoy!

Ten Months Old Tomorrow

Tomorrow is Lily's 10 month birthday and the 1 month anniversary of her being placed into our arms. We can't beleive it's only been a month, it feels like she's been a part of our lives much longer. It's amazing, in such a short time we have watched her blossom. She is still eating as much as she can and sleeping very well. Just today, she stood by herself for 30 seconds and we both think she'll be walking by her first birthday. I have been doing baby signs with her and just this week, she made her first sign "all done" while sitting in her high chair. She is so beautiful and amazing and I hate putting her to sleep at night (only because I miss her when she's not awake), but love to walk into her nursery when she wakes up and see her get all excited and stand up and reach her arms out to me. She's what it's all about! Attached are some recent favorite photos (Lily sleeping with her one of her favorite teddy bears, Lily and Grandpa Brayson, Lily playing with mommy, and Lily on a nature walk with mommy and Auntie Pam)
